Tabata Training Classes


Talk about a High Intense Fat Burning Class!!

I decided to put this to the test....on my clients, of course!

They have completed the Five Week Aerobic Tabata and if you ask them how it was....after they whine for a bit, they will surely tell you every minute was worth it!! Within 5 weeks the average weight loss was 4lbs and the average fat loss was 3.5%. These are amazing results.

Classes are held at Flex Fitness Studios Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30AM.

Class space is limited to three individuals at a time so be sure to sign up to secure your spot!!!

Strength Tabata

Strength Tabata was designed to increase muscle mass and endurance in only five weeks. The class is proving to be challenging and rewarding! Pushing as hard as you can for 20 seconds and resting only 10 seconds for 8 Intervals can be quite challenging!

Try it out!! Our circuits looked a little like this...

Tuesday Mornings: Shoulders, Chest & Back

  1. Incline Chest Press w/ 10lb DB
  2. Bent Over Row w/ 35lb EZ Bar
  3. Front and Side Raise w/ 5lb DB
  4. Alternating Shoulder Press w/ 10lb DB
  5. Superman - Bodyweight

Wednesday Mornings: Legs

  1. Bench Jumps
  2. Squats w/ 15lb DB
  3. Leg Press - 135lb on rack
  4. Hamstring Curls - 35lb on rack
  5. Jump Squats w/ 10lb DB
  6. Split Lunges w/ 10lb DB

Friday Mornings: Traps, Oblique, Abdominal, Triceps & Bicep

  1. Calve Raises 'tippy toes' w/ 30lb DB
  2. Bicep Curls w/ Resistance Band or 10lb DB
  3. Shrugs w/ 30lb DB
  4. Dips - On Bench with 25lb Plate on Lap
  5. Side Oblique Crunch (touch your ankles)

When Mel first told me about Tabata I was very excited from the word go, however that excitement stemmed from the fact that I had no clue what it meant.

I missed the first week of class b/c I was traveling for work so when I came in during the 2nd week I had some making it up to do.

Strength TabataIt was hard at first b/c my body wasn't used to working out at such a fast pace, but once i got into a rhythm I started to feel very good. These classes are no joke.
